Drissi Brings Attention to The Arthritis Foundation During NASCAR Weekend at Road America.

Driving the #26 JGL Racing Toyota Camry, Tomy Drissi put his efforts toward supporting and bringing exposure to The Arthritis Foundation.  Racing in Saturday’s NASCAR XFINITY Series Road America 180 Fired Up by Johnsonville,  Drissi’s  Toyota Camry carried the livery for The Arthritis Foundation and Universal Picture’s new release, Straight Outta Compton.

“It was an up and down weekend for us,” said Tomy. “We blew an engine within the first few laps of Friday practice… then lost another session to weather. That really put us behind for race day.”

“In the race, the car felt pretty good,” Tomy continued. “But as luck would have it, we got caught up with a few cars on the opening lap. I was really staying back… just wanting to get into a rhythm of the race. Unfortunately, we got collected up and damaged the front splitter. When I ended up in the gravel off track, the splitter was pushed down and dug in… I was stranded down in turn 5.”

“Credit goes to the JGL crew,” added Tomy. “They got the car back out there and even though we were several laps down, the car was running great. Our lap times indicated we could have had a finish near the top 10. The car was really pretty good. I’m glad we were able to get out their though and bring attention to The Arthritis Foundation and promote our Universal Pictures partner along with Straight Outta Compton!”

Straight Outta Compton

Following the meteoric rise and fall of N.W.A., Straight Outta Compton tells the astonishing story of how they revolutionized music and pop culture forever the moment they told the world the truth about life in the hood and ignited a cultural war. Entrenched in the racial tumult of Los Angeles in the mid-1980's, a group of aspiring rappers banded together to revolutionize the global consumption of hip-hop and popular culture. NWA was born out of racial frustration and the disadvantaged economics of their South Central neighborhood. F. Gary Gray directs this biopic about the rise to stardom for the act that earned the moniker of "The World's Most Dangerous Group", featuring Ice Cube's son O'Shea Jackson Jr. playing the role of his father, Corey Hawkins as Dr. Dre, and Jason Mitchell as the late Eazy-E.
