Tomy Drissi Heading to Watkins Glen Driving Straight Outta Compton - The Movie #26 JGL Racing Toyota

Road racing Champion, Tomy Drissi, will pilot the #26 JGL Racing Toyota Camry in Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Zippo 200 at The Glen.

Following a great run at the Glen in 2014, Tomy will rejoin JGL Racing with the Toyota Camry carrying the livery for Universal Picture’s new release, Straight Outta Compton, the story of iconic recording group, NWA.

“I’m really looking forward to climbing back into the JGL Racing Toyota,” said Tomy. “It’s a great opportunity on so many levels. First, I had a really good run with the JGL guys last year… we finished 19th. Second, I love driving at the Glen. It’s just a great place to be racing. And lastly, I’m excited to bring Universal Pictures to NASCAR and promote the movie, Straight Outta Compton.”

“This is racing at its best,” added Tomy. “The NASCAR guys are a great community… they really treat you like family. And the racing is as good as it gets. They race hard and they race you clean. You can’t ask for a better opportunity.”

“The cars are so much fun to drive…” Tomy continued. “ I like the fact that while JGL might be a small team, they have proven they can beat some of the bigger teams. They continue to get better every week. Last year I was thrilled to deliver them a top-20 finish. I think we’ve got more in store for this year.”

Straight Outta Compton

Following the meteoric rise and fall of N.W.A., Straight Outta Compton tells the astonishing story of how they revolutionized music and pop culture forever the moment they told the world the truth about life in the hood and ignited a cultural war. Entrenched in the racial tumult of Los Angeles in the mid-1980's, a group of aspiring rappers banded together to revolutionize the global consumption of hip-hop and popular culture. NWA was born out of racial frustration and the disadvantaged economics of their South Central neighborhood. F. Gary Gray directs this biopic about the rise to stardom for the act that earned the moniker of "The World's Most Dangerous Group", featuring Ice Cube's son O'Shea Jackson Jr. playing the role of his father, Corey Hawkins as Dr. Dre, and Jason Mitchell as the late Eazy-E.
