Tomy Drissi Will Two-Time The Weekend at Mid-Ohio

Tomy Drissi will double down with his Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle campaign this weekend, running both the NASCAR Nationwide Children’s Hospital 200 with JGL racing in the No. 93 Dodge Challenger and the Trans Am Series 3 Dimensional Services Next Dimension100, driving the No. 4 Tony Ave Corvette. Both cars will carry The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle livery.

Tomy enjoyed a top 20 finish in last weeks’ Nationwide race at Watkins Glen in the JGL Dodge Challenger and is anticipating a continuation of the team’s improved performance.

“The JGL guys did a great job of making the car better though out the weekend,” said Tomy. “We really had to grind it out during the race, battling all the way up from the back of the pack. But these guys just kept making the car better and better. I expect we’ll have a really good run at Mid-Ohio. It’s a great track and I’ve had a lot of good runs here.”

Tomy, a Trans Am Champion, will also rejoin the Tony Ave crew driving the No. 4 Trans Am Corvette. The always fast No. 4 will also display The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles livery.

“Tony is notorious for building and fielding fast Trans Am cars,” said Tomy. “He’s undoubtedly one of the best builders in the paddock. Last year we pulled off a new Mid-Ohio Trans Am track record with this car. I know we’re going to fast right off the trailer. We had a few issues during the race in 2013, so I’d like to reconcile that.”

“It’s going to be a busy weekend for me,” added Tomy. “But I love this track. This place is a road racers dream. It’s got plenty of good passing zones, good straightaways and high-speed corners that really let the driver do his job. As much fun as it is, though, you really have to be on your game working through traffic. There’ll be plenty of competition in both series… so it’ll be a fun weekend.”
