Tomy Drissi All In At the Detroit Grand Prix

May 30, 2013

On the Grand Am portion of the weekend, Tomy will run with Muehlner Motorsports. Muehlner Motorsport made its Grand-Am debut at the 2011 Rolex 24 At Daytona.

The Muehlner Motorsport Team has garnered experience at race circuits in Abu Dhabi, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Belgium, China, the Czech Republic, Dubai, England, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Monaco, the Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, Slovakia, Spain and the USA.

So far the team won 106 races and achieved 246 podium finishes. Eight Championships have been won outright, together with three runner-up placing. About 250 drivers from more than 30 countries have played a part in the team’s success.

The US subsidiary Muehlner Motorsports America, LLC work from a shop in DeLand Florida only 15 miles away from the Daytona International Speedway.

“I’m really excited to run with the Muehlner guys and owe a big thank you to Bernhard Muehlner. The team is very focused and they run a very buttoned up operation. I’m looking forward to driving with Dion von Moltke and getting good results from the Porsche on the Belle Isle circuit.

“It’s going to be a lot of fun getting our movie based Porsches in front of the Detroit fans. We’ll be running “The Internship” on the World Challenge Porsche and “The Heat” on our Grand Am car.”

In “The Heat,” an uptight and straight-laced, FBI Special Agent Sarah Ashburn (Sandra Bullock) is a methodical investigator with a reputation for excellence–and hyper-arrogance. Shannon Mullins (Melissa McCarthy), one of Boston P.D.’s “finest,” is foul-mouthed and has a very short fuse, and uses her gut instinct and street smarts to catch the most elusive criminals. Neither has ever had a partner, or a friend for that matter. When these two wildly incompatible law officers join forces to bring down a ruthless drug lord, they become the last thing anyone expected: buddies. From Paul Feig, the director of “Bridesmaids.”

“The Internship” will be opening in theaters June 7th starring Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson. In the movie, Billy (Vince Vaughn) and Nick (Owen Wilson) are salesmen whose careers have been torpedoed by the digital world. Trying to prove they are not obsolete, they defy the odds by talking their way into a coveted internship at Google, along with a battalion of brilliant college students. But, gaining entrance to this utopia is only half the battle. Now they must compete with a group of the nation’s most elite, tech-savvy geniuses to prove that necessity really is the mother of re-invention.
