  • Drissi Motorsports will enter two cars in the TA class at this weekend’s Sebring SpeedTour
  • Tomy Drissi and Keith Grant will race the team’s two Chevrolet Camaros
  • Both drivers finished in the top five in this race last year, with Grant taking his first TA class podium
  • The TA class will take the green flag for 27 laps/75 minutes of racing on Sunday at 11:15AM

After a busy offseason, Drissi Motorsports is ready to kick off the 2024 Trans Am National Championship this weekend with the season-opening Sebring SpeedTour. Drivers Tomy Drissi and Keith Grant are ready to hit the track and do battle in the team’s Chevrolet Camaros in the quest for the 2024 series title.

Earlier this year, Drissi Motorsports acquired Showtime Motorsports, retaining Ken Thwaits as team principal and Showtime’s personnel and specialists. The combined efforts bring together two of the top names in Trans Am for the 2024 season, and all parties expect to contend for race wins and the TA class championship. Drissi will run the full season in the #8 Chevrolet Camaro, while Sebring will mark the first race in a part-time schedule for Grant in the #40 Chevrolet Camaro.

“I couldn’t be more excited to get going on the 2024 season,” said Drissi. “Working with Ken has already proven to be a huge step forward, and we definitely made some progress at the Sebring test last month. We’re ready to take the fight to the rest of the field in the first race of the season and go for the championship!”

In last year’s Sebring opener, both Grant and Drissi scored top five finishes. For Grant, the third place result was his first career podium finish in the first race of his rookie TA season. Drissi, meanwhile, clawed his way from the back of the grid to finish fifth, a result that would send him on his way to his fourth consecutive runner-up finish in the final TA class standings.

The Sebring SpeedTour is the first of 11 events on the 2024 Trans Am National Championship schedule. The TA class will first hit the track on Friday with a pair of optional test sessions at 11:10AM and 3PM. On Saturday, they’ll practice at 10:45AM and qualify at 4:40PM, before taking on 27 laps/75 minutes of racing on Sunday at 11:15AM. Click here to purchase tickets to this weekend’s Sebring SpeedTour, and click here for live timing.
