Drissi Motorsports Pushes the Limits at Road America

July 17, 2024 – Full Paddock for Drissi Motorsports at Road America

  • All 3 Drissi Motorsports cars finished round 7 of the Trans Am Presented by Pirelli Championship at Road America.
  • Tomy Drissi piloted the team’s Lucas Oil, Mav TV, Franklin Road, and Mission Foods Chevrolet Camaro to a 5th-place finish.
  • TA veteran Keith Grant returned to the Drissi Motorsports Camaro for the first race since Road Atlanta and finished 6th.
  • Don Yount made his debut in a TA car in the SW Financial Camaro and finished 4th.

Drissi Motorsports fielded three cars at round 7 of the Trans Am Presented by Pirelli Championship at Road America. This was the record number of cars for the team after acquiring the assets from Showtime Motorsports which brought its own unique set of challenges to the team.

All three Drissi Motorsports cars finished the race with Don Yount in the #7 SW Financial Camero finishing 4th, Tomy Drissi in the team’s #8  Lucas Oil, Mav TV, Franklin Road, and Mission Foods Chevrolet Camaro to 5th, and Keith Grant in the #40 Drissi Motorsports Camaro finishing 6th.

“Great first experience in a trans am race.  Addicting and a rush.  No other car like it. Great team and the car was fast the whole week.” said Don Yount.

This marks Tomy Drissi’s 6th and the team’s 9th top 5 finish for 2024.

“We’ve really figured out the reliability and consistency this year. Having every car we’ve fielded finish every race gives us a lot of confidence. We’ve missed our setups the last few races but I’m hoping once we dial those in we’ll lock in more podiums this year..” said Drissi. “I’d like to thank all the fans who always turn out at Road America, Lucas Oil, Mav TV, Franklin Road, and Mission Foods Chevrolet Camaro for being a part of all of this.”
