- Tomy Drissi and Drissi Motorsports set their sights on the front of the field in Monday’s Trans Am Memorial Day Classic
- Drissi has had many successes in his Trans Am career at Lime Rock, including last year’s pole position and multiple podiums
- Drissi sits third in the TA championship with three top five finishes in four rounds
2009 Trans Am champion Tomy Drissi and Drissi Motorsports return to the track this weekend for the Trans Am Memorial Day Classic, the fifth round of the 2025 Trans Am by Pirelli season, at Lime Rock Park. After a strong pair of results in his home state of California, Drissi and the #8 Trench Shoring Company/Motul/Franklin Road Apparel Chevrolet Camaro team head east with their sights set on another podium finish.
Drissi has scored multiple podiums in his Trans Am career at Lime Rock, beginning with a runner-up finish in 2010 and most recently finishing second in 2021. Last year, he conquered the rain in qualifying to score the pole position, his first pole since 2021 and first running for his own team; in the race itself, he would lead multiple laps on the way to a solid fourth place finish. In the American Le Mans Series, he teamed up with Kyle Marcelli to score a third place finish at the track in 2011.

With three top five finishes in the first four races of the year, including a podium at Sonoma Raceway, Drissi has persevered through a season that has thrown major challenges at most of his rivals. He currently sits third in the TA championship, and he’ll have a strong opportunity to climb into second with another strong finish at Lime Rock.
“I couldn’t be more excited to get back on track at Lime Rock Park,” said Drissi. “It’s always amazing to race on Memorial Day weekend, because we get to meet so many people who have served the country and thank them for their service. I’ve also had a lot of great results here, including my pole in the rain last year, and I’m looking forward to adding another on Monday when we take the green flag.
Drissi and the rest of the TA class will face a unique Saturday-Monday schedule at this weekend’s Trans Am Memorial Day Classic. On Saturday, optional test sessions will run at 9:45AM and 11:40AM, and practices will take place at 3:05PM and 4:40PM. Sunday’s qualifying session will kick off at 9:05AM, while the race will go green at noon and will feature either 68 laps or 75 minutes of action. Tickets remain available here; as always, live streaming will be available on both Speed Sport 1 and the Trans Am YouTube channel.
