Tomy Drissi will be at Homestead-Miami Speedway for round 2 of the 2017 Trans Am Championship, on April 8-9.
Driving the No. 8, Tony Ave prepared Ghost In The Shell C7 Corvette, Tomy looks to continue his red hot return to the TransAm Series. Tomy battled hard to take second place in the season opener at Sebring, and then went on to win the inaugural race of TransAm’s western return at Willow Springs in California.
“We’re off to a great start,” said Tomy. “I couldn’t be happier. We’ve been fast and the guys Tony has working with me absolutely refuse to lose. These guys keep looking and working on the car… just pushing to find that sweet spot. As a driver, you can’t put a price on having that kind of support. ”
“I love these cars,” Tomy continued. “There’s just something about a TransAm car… the sound, the power.. it’s indescribable. The car brings out the racer in you.”
“Homestead is an interesting track,” Tomy continued. “It incorporates the banked turns of the oval and the the infield road course. The apex of the banking here has always been interesting. The car want’s to kind of shoot to the outside when you come off the corner. But, where you need to be careful is that you don’t let the thrill and speed of the banking go to your head. The infield can get technical and will definitely keep you honest.”

Tomy returns running the livery of Ghost In The Shell, now showing in theaters. The car carries a fantastic color scheme that is very faithful to movie’s promotional platform in other forms of media. It comes off great on track and fans love it.
Ghost In The Shell is an American science fiction action film directed by Rupert Sanders and written by Jamie Moss and Ehren Kruger, based on the Japanese manga of the same name by Masamune Shirow. Sanders dedicated the film to Buried director Rodrigo Cortés. The film stars Scarlett Johansson, Michael Pitt, Pilou Asbæk, Chin Han and Juliette Binoche. The film is in theaters now in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D.

Born December 9 in Hollywood, California, Tomy owns an advertising firm that produces upcoming film displays for cinemas.
Drissi’s first racing experience in motorsports was street racing on Mulholland Drive in the Hollywood Hills.

• 2012, Drissi teamed with Bruno Junqiera for finishing 2nd at Laguna Seca, a win at Mosport (Canadian Tire Motorsports Park), 2nd at Baltimore and second at the season finale, Petit Lemans.
• 2013 NASCAR CUP/Nationwide. Best result at Mid Ohio starting 38th and finishing 19th.
• 2014 IMSA LMPC at Daytona 3rd.
