Tomy Drissi will drive the No. 16 BAR1 Motorsports Prototype Challenge car sponsored by The Walk – in theaters October, for the final event of the 2015 TUDOR United SportsCar Series championship. Saturday’s 18th Petit Le Mans powered by Mazda at Road Atlanta is one of the longest and toughest races on the schedule and runs .
The Petit Le Mans powered by Mazda will be aired live on Saturday, Oct. 3, beginning at 11 a.m. ET. Coverage begins on FOX Sports 2 and alternates with IMSA.com, concluding with the finish and post-race coverage beginning at 8:30 p.m. IMSA.com and the IMSA App will have live streaming, live timing and scoring, and IMSA Radio’s play-by-play.
There will also be a three-hour highlights show on FOX Sports 1 on Sunday, Oct. 4, beginning at 1:30 p.m. ET.
Driving with Tomy in this year’s entry will be Johnny Mowlem, Marc Drumwright and Don Yount. Mowlem and Drissi were part of BAR1’s line up in this year’s successful run at The Daytona Rolex 24.
“I’m really excited to be back in the BAR1 car and to be driving at Road Atlanta,” said Tomy. “This is such a great track and historically, a fantastic race. I’m really looking forward to it.”
“Johnny [Mowlem] and I were part of the squad that ran down the leader at this year’s Daytona 24,” noted Tomy. “Johnny is an extremely capable driver and knows how to manage the car. Marc Drumwright, Don Younts and I know what we need to do… run clean and run at good pace. Petit is potentially a 10 hour race. I think if we all do our job and take care of the car, we’ll do well.”
The Walk
In 1974, high-wire artist Philippe Petit recruits a team of people to help him realize his dream: to walk the the immense void between the World Trade Center towers. As a boy, Petit dreams of performing daring feats for dazzled crowds. As an adult (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), his life’s ambition comes true when he becomes a high-wire artist who stares death in the face with every step. Under the guidance of mentor Papa Rudy, the daredevil devises a plan to walk on a tightrope attached to the north and south towers of the World Trade Center. With help from his team and against all odds, Petit attempts the seemingly impossible stunt on Aug. 7, 1974.

His driver experience includes ALMS, Trans-Am, NASCAR and Speed World Challenge.
Born December 9 in Hollywood, California, Tomy owns an advertising firm that produces upcoming film displays for cinemas.
Drissi’s first racing experience in motorsports was street racing on Mulholland Drive in the Hollywood Hills.

• 2011 saw Tomy’s return to the American Le Mans LMPC division. He scored a 2nd at Long Beach, 3rd at Lime Rock, 1st at Mid Ohio,1st at Inaugural Baltimore Grand Prix and second at Road Atlanta -Petit Le Mans.
• 2012, Drissi teamed with Bruno Junqiera for finishing 2nd at Laguna Seca, a win at Mosport (Canadian Tire Motorsports Park), 2nd at Baltimore and second at the season finale, Petit Lemans.
• 2013 NASCAR CUP/Nationwide. Best result at Mid Ohio starting 38th and finishing 19th.
• 2014 IMSA LMPC at Daytona 3rd.
