Tomy Drissi teams Straight Outta Compton and The Arthritis Foundation for NASCAR at Road America.

Driving the #26 JGL Racing Toyota Camry in Saturday’s the NASCAR XFINITY Series Road America 180 Fired Up by Johnsonville, Tomy Drissi is enthusiastic about racing at Road America. Race fans will have the opportunity to watch Tomy and some of NASCAR’s future stars as they test their skills on the storied 4-mile, 14-turn road circuit. Road America has a legendary history of featuring brilliant racers on a challenging circuit that easily separates the good from the great drivers.

With the Toyota Camry carrying the livery for The Arthritis Foundation and Universal Picture’s new release, Straight Outta Compton, Tomy and the JGL are confident they have a good car for the weekend.

“The last two events have seen us chasing the setup on race day,” said Tomy. “We’ve haven’t quite got it 100% right. The crew has worked really hard getting the The Arthritis Foundation / Straight Outta Compton Toyota ready for this week. There’s been no rest since Mid Ohio.”

“We’re hoping to put on a great show for The Arthritis Foundation,” Tomy continued. And I’m excited to bring Universal Pictures to NASCAR and promoting their movie, Straight Outta Compton. The movie is wildly successful at the box office and the fans absolutely loved the car at The Glen and Mid Ohio.”

Straight Outta Compton

Following the meteoric rise and fall of N.W.A., Straight Outta Compton tells the astonishing story of how they revolutionized music and pop culture forever the moment they told the world the truth about life in the hood and ignited a cultural war. Entrenched in the racial tumult of Los Angeles in the mid-1980’s, a group of aspiring rappers banded together to revolutionize the global consumption of hip-hop and popular culture. NWA was born out of racial frustration and the disadvantaged economics of their South Central neighborhood. F. Gary Gray directs this biopic about the rise to stardom for the act that earned the moniker of “The World’s Most Dangerous Group”, featuring Ice Cube’s son O’Shea Jackson Jr. playing the role of his father, Corey Hawkins as Dr. Dre, and Jason Mitchell as the late Eazy-E.
